Got this bug twice, Task manager shows that setup-eet.exe consumes 1.4GB of memory. I have much more free ram left but somehow weidu didn't use it and stooped.

This error is not necessarily about system memory. The Out of memory exception is also raised for stack overflows, too-large data structures and other things. Can you post your whole debug file, please. It should be noted that inefficiently coded mods may cause this exception, as well.

Can reproduce. It's an issue limited to 32-bit systems and/or Windows. As far as I can tell, there is nothing I can do. The file EET is trying to do regexp replacements on (bgee.tra) appears to be too big. Aside from that, it's like 2 MB away from being too big to patch at all, so the whole approach EET takes is going to run into that iceberg sooner or later. Someone just needs to install an extra NPC or two.

Changing the substitution from e.g., MINSC01 => MINSC01_ to MINSC01 => INSC01_ (i.e., into one that does not grow the buffer) would seem to confirm that it is the size of the buffer that is the problem, rather than the number of consecutive matches, total number of matches against any one regexp pattern or other such possibilities.
