ALTER_AREA_REGION / door_script ?
« on: April 03, 2016, 02:43:09 AM »
Looks like ALTER_AREA_REGION was copied from ALTER_AREA_DOOR and thus inherited "door_script" variable. "region_script" would be much saner. I understand that it's a small thing, but the whole point of macros is to reduce learning curve and mitigate human error factor. Intuitiveness is an important part of that.

(And for the record, I think having DELETE_ and REMOVE_ being used inconsistently between patches and macros is also a bit counterintuitive).

While I agree with you, I'm afraid the consistency ship sailed a long time ago. I can add region_script and region_key as aliases to the door_* equivalents for ALTER_AREA_REGION.

Yes, I think that would be best.
Aliases are a good solution, so I don't quite understand the remark about sailed ship.
