Request: Put the Improved Abazigal in the Finale

Like the topic says, I'd like to see the improved versions of the 5 in the final Ascension battle.  My first time fighting the battle, I actually planned to encounter their upgraded versions, particularily Abazigal.  I was somewhat suprised when upon killing him, no dragon spawned.

While I appreciate that not everyone wants to fight all of the five, with fully upgraded stats, abililties, and AIs; it would be nice to have the option for those of us looking for a bit more of a challenge.

Setting aside the fact that you're asking for a change to a mod designed by someone who doesn't, tmk, read this board, they are the Tougher versions.  Abazigal shows up in human form rather than dragon form because the dragon form wouldn't have room.

After reading Kish's post, I agree with the majority of what is said:

1. Asking wrong person to change mod.
2. The Bhaalspawn are the harder versions.

However, as useless as this comment will be, there is room for a dragon in the Throne of Bhaal.  I replayed the last Ascension fight, and when Abazigal died I CLUA consoled his dragon form in.  There were no problems with him being unable to reach my party members.

Even if he does, I don't think the fight should be changed - the focus of the battle will then drastically shift from "The Five + Mel" to "Abazigal + The Four + Mel."

Nevermind the fact that the version you fight is already incredibly powerful - he hits very hard (40 damage/hit on Core) and has all kinds of spell protections. Also nevermind the fact that this change will make what is already the hardest battle in BG2 harder by a dragon (a non-trivial dragon - he doesn't always fall to a sorc 'o doom unloading his spell book during a Time Stop).

My problem with this is that from the plot, it doesn't make much sense for Mel to give so much more of the essence to one Bhaalspawn than to the others. Well, that and the fact that the Infinity Engine cannot handle certain graphics even on computers that are way above recommended specs (PIII).

                   Heh, some computers can't even handle Improved Yaga Shura. Instant crashes when he returns to fight you.

Adding the dragon to the final fight was certainly discussed when we were making Ascension... but it was decided not to have it in there because the feet circle of the dragon animation was so big that it would cause problems with the other bhaalspawn and Mel.   Trust me... we considered this, heh.
