Problem with Valen mod
« on: January 25, 2003, 11:50:54 AM »
I'll start off by saying I don't have ToB; I read that it wasn't a good idea to use her without it, but I did it anyways.  Well, everything was goin' fine, until I hit 2,500,000 XP, then then the game crashed.  Apparently, there was a problem with the Vampire Hunters, so every time my game tries to load it, it crashes.  I'm thinking that if I can find all the files for the Vampire Hunters and delete them, the even will not be triggered, but I am not sure.  Unfortunately, I don't know what the Vampire Hunter files are.
Any help is appreciated,

Dan

Look in the valen\hunt1 folder for a list of files you should remove from your override folder.

Not to be too evil about this, but I really don't have time to support Valen-with-no-ToB when it explicitly says "don't do that, I don't support it". :-) If you need more help getting her to work you may have to throw yourself upon the tender mercies of the other users here.

I found a way around it!  It's actually pretty easy, but took me a while to figure out.  Pause it, get her XP so she'll get to the level you want her to be at, unpause and repause quickly, level her up, then set her XP back down to 0.  I used the Control + Space in the game to do this, and it sure worked.

Oh, btw, is there any mod for new races like half-dragon/celestial/fiend?  They're in AD&D, so why not BG?
