The battle music is so obnoxious, its so much louder than the regular music and painfully repetetive.  It really irks me that I cant hear the quality music because I have my sound turned down so Im not blown away by the battle theme-- which after 10000000 listenings really starts to rake on your nerves.  So, I think, there should be an ease of use component to disable battle music.

I've done this before.  Extract the 'SongList.2da' and edit it in notepad (or whatever).  Change the following values:

46      BC1         BC1.MUS
47      BC2         BC2.MUS
48      BD1         BD1.MUS
49      BD2         BD2.MUS
50      BD3         BD3.MUS
51      BF1         BF1.MUS
52      BF2         BF2.MUS
53      BJR         BJR.MUS
54      BM1         BM1.MUS
55      BM2         BM2.MUS
56      BP1         BP1.MUS
57      BP2         BP2.MUS
58      BRD         BRD.MUS
59      BSD         BSD.MUS
60      BST         BST.MUS

...to:

46      BC1         ****
47      BC2         ****
48      BD1         ****
49      BD2         ****
50      BD3         ****
...

And so on.  Or instead of ****, use another, more pleasing track.  Once done, put the edited SongList.2da into the override.

Thanks for the tip, Ill go do this right now.  However, Id still like to see an easier more user friendly way to do this-- if possible.

I'm sorry, but I'm just a tad confused. Do you actually HAVE to enter in the asterisk stars, or can you enter in another track as an alternative to the asterisks. Anyone have a song track listing as it corresponds to the file names?

I entered it in as asterisks and it no longer plays battle music, as to different tracks-- i havent tried that.
