About donations, all I know is that you can't upgrade your reputation to 20, it gets stuck at 18.
And then a question from my side;
When donating, or buying, or whatever needs selecting a amount,is the only way to nicrease it to hold your mouse button down for a very long time?

Why is this feature in BGII? Cuz if your rep drops to low, you just plunder and steal enough money to increase it again.
Maybe it's because it shows you how corrupt the whole system is.
Though I still don't understand why the Temples of Lathander and Helm would allow this.
Lathander is Good and Helm is Lawful.
Donating money to increase your rep (after you made it drop) doesn't seem very Lawful or Good to me.

Anyone has a thought about this?

Yet it has worked for a number of famous philanthropists in the real world.  They aren't remembered as the bastards they were, but as the kind benefactor of X cause.

Also, you can select then box where the donation amount is, and type in an amount.

Maybe there could be an option wich will make it possible to bribe your way into some organisations, that you actually will gain some power and control.
Though this would only be an option to XEvil PC's.

You can buy Reputation; as in the real world, you will be well-known as a philanthropist by spending a lot of money no matter what kind of person you are.  You can't buy Virtue.

Especially since Virtue is not something people look for in a person.

Speak for yourself, discharger.

Furthermore, I believe this thread is about the Quest mod, not someone's assessed virtue.

About the moneylender: What kind of amounts are we talking about here? I would think that any amount that could be worthwhile for the player would be outrageous to loan from such a person. I believe 1000 gold would be a small fortune in the Forgotten Realms, and if the player really needs that, he'd be better off going stealing or smiting evil, whichever the personal preference...
But what if the PC is Good-aligned, will he still steal the money? ???
Don't think so ;)
No, that's what the "smiting evil" option was for  :)

Why do you want to put money lending in? you like extra work? ???

You get enough cash troughout the game. I just don't see a point in money lending ^^

the money for the shadow thieves and bodhi is real "CHEAP"
