Problem installing Ascension * Ease of Use
« on: August 13, 2002, 02:01:05 PM »
I have carried out a clean install of SoA and ToB followed by the latest patches

I then installed TDD

I unzipped Ease of Use into the BGII - SoA directory and ran Setup-Ease.exe

I got the following error message:
ERROR: No translation provided for @1
ERROR: problem parsing TP file [SETUP-EASE.TP2]: Not_found

Not_found

Press ENTER to exit

So then I tried unzipping the Ascension patch and got the same error when I ran Setup-Ascension.exe except it was looking for the Setup-Ascension.TP2 file

Both the SETUP-EASE.TP2 and SETUP-ASCENSION.TP2 files are in the installation directory

Here is the output in the Ascension debug file

WeiDU v 61 Log

Solved it - the problem was me being stupid. I drag-dropped out of the zip rather than extracting so no sub-directories were created.

Any idea if all the crap I have put in the root BG2 directory will have screwed up the normal installation in any way. I know some files were overwritten when I first did the drag-drop.

No idea, sorry. I can't imagine what would have been overwriten, though. Nothing important (aside from dialog.tlk and chitin.key) live in the main directory. You're probably OK.
