Well, I cannot play BG2 any more. The thing is, I was not that "sucked" into it from the very start.  BG1, however, never bores me. Even when I test the same sequence over and over and over... I look forward to playing it beginning to end another couple of times at the least before shelving. :) I plan to switch to NWN in the fall of 2004, or earlier, depending on how much work will have to be done for BG1NPC.
Same here. I am starting to play BG1 more often the the second one. The only thing I miss from BG2 is the dialogues.

In my oppinion currently BGII >BGI.  But if the BGI NPC project is done correctly then BGI will >BGII

Well, we tried our best. But I will have the same reply to anyone who would be dissappointed - join us and help making it better. The project will be on-going for many months yet, and can take many more writers and coders than it has on staff now.

i have no complaints about it as is-mostly because I haven't played it and don't intend to until it's completely finished.  Is it even realesed yet?

Anyways, the entire concept behind this thread is moronic, as Bryad was either going for shok effect or trying to cause soem sort of mass exodus of the forums resulting in embarrassment for the local modders

Agreed, Akasha.  This is a moronic thread.  If we didn't still like the game, why are we here?

It depends on what you define as finished. Phase I (banter pack) will be out by Monday, May 3, 2004.

Which is of course only your opinion. I happen to like NwN. Many people like it and many people dislike it. Such is life.

I'm with you, Melora.  I have NWN, but haven't installed it yet because I keep finding new reasons to play BG2 again.

I'm going to wait for th whole thing.  I want the complete experience
As for NWN, I would have really enjoyed it, if my comp wasn't crap in a plastic case.
