A-ha, got it.  I was using Opera which hates to do some things.  When I switched to IE, it worked perfectly.

Yeah, there are normally some people around.  It depends on your timezone I guess.  In my evenings (GMT) there's usually about seven people around including Jason and Sim.  During the day, less people, but still some.

Arundor has done a statistical study, identifying that the hours of 6:00-12:00EST see the least activity on the IRC channel. It was totally scientific and stuff, which charts and everything!

Update: We've added a trivial channel key, ppg, to the channel, due to an outbreak of bot spam on Slashnet. Hopefully the network operators will be able to get more sophisticated about shutting down the attacks, and/or the attackers will get bored. Apologies for the inconvenience.
