IDS_OF_SYMBOL and MISSILE.ids in 2.6
« on: July 04, 2021, 12:54:24 PM »
You might already be aware of this issue as reported by Luke here.

Code: [Select]
OUTER_SPRINT aa "Call_Lightning_Chain_11"
OUTER_SET bb = IDS_OF_SYMBOL ("MISSILE" "%aa%")
PRINT "%bb% %aa%"

%bb% returns -1 and a parse error message is returned. According to Luke, it's due to the presence of "+" symbols that were added to the MISSILE.ids in 2.6 i.e. 285 entry is "1PP_Arrow_+1".

I can confirm this. Many years ago, I tried to build an array with missile and projecl, and they were issues with ID containing special characters such as "!", "+"...
To solve this, I add to create a temporary file replacing those characters with combinations of other characters, then build my array...

So, I made a quick test with WeiDU v24800... and everything seems to work fine now.
