« on: June 03, 2020, 12:44:57 PM »
A beta version of v28 is ready for testing!

https://github.com/Pocket-Plane-Group/UnfinishedBusiness/releases/tag/v28beta

New in this release:
- Updated Russian translation, thanks to yota13 & Arcanecoast Team.
- The Jade Hound Figurine from Minsc's quest has a charge when you get it.
- UB will no longer restore Shazzellim +1 if QuestPack has already done so.
- Added content compatibility with Jastey's Imoen 4 Ever mod.
- Added file ub.ini with mod metadata.
- Implemented encapsulation and immutability.
- Added conditions to ensure components only get installed on compatible games.
- The restored ranger kits are now compatible with EE games.

Hi, i wanted to report a few things:

Final already released, the link above is dead: https://github.com/Pocket-Plane-Group/UnfinishedBusiness/releases

The readme doesnt have the changelog of the latest release and several sites that are on it have broken links: https://pocket-plane-group.github.io/Pocket-Plane-Group.github.io/readmes/readme-ub.html

This other readme is also outdated, alas, why 2 of them? https://mods.pocketplane.net/readmes/readme_ub.html

Link to GitHub is working again, at least for me.

Readme v28 is now uploaded, first link should give current readme now. Angel: For future releases feel free to make PR for the current readme to this repo, as it is the official readme hub for the PPG website, too.

Felipe: the old readme link is outdated and will not be updated. The readmes are at GitHub now.

Thank you for the reports!

Does v28 need WeiDU v247 for installation? I get an error message on classic engine if I try to use v246. I am reluctant to use v247 as I'd need to remove all my other setup.exes from the game folder before I let it run.

OK, I got my answer (which is "yes").

Angel, would you satisfy my curiosity as to what feature of weidu v247 is needed? Seeing that UB is an older mod it seems you changed some things running in the background.

As per v28, UB uses a library written by DavidW to facilitate the mod folder being immutable (i.e. the installation does not add or change files within the mod folder).  This library uses the WeiDU variables MOD_FOLDER and TP2_BASE_NAME, whose behavior changed between WeiDU 246 and 247 (the behavior of v246 and older was not what the documentation claimed).
