Config issue with BG2 directory copy/paste
« on: September 29, 2014, 08:00:23 AM »
Hey there,

I was playing the game with several mods installed on my laptop. All smooth, but I decided I wanted to finish it up on my computer, so I installed the game up to the final TOB patch and copied over my directory from my laptop. Usually this isn't an issue (or, it hasn't been in the past) but for some reason it keeps getting stuck on the "configure this game for the first time" issue. I open up the config.exe and everything is set... I even hit "Configure" in the startup menu, but nothing happens.

Any ideas? Cheers

It's probably something in baldur.ini. Do you have "Installing=1" set in it? Try setting that to 0.

And if it's not that, just copy and paste your whole baldur.ini here, I'm sure it'll leap out at somebody.

Bizarre. I redid exactly what I did yesterday and I couldn't replicate the problem. All fixed now, at least. Thanks!
