Random dialogue text
« on: February 06, 2011, 03:13:08 PM »
Hi!

Just installed BG1 & tutu and now I'm getting everytime I click a NPC portrait no voice sound, but random dialogue text in the text window.

Here is what and how I installed the game:

BG in c:\games\BG full install
ToSc into same directory, full install
BKTalesUK5512 patch file
BG1TOSCGameTextUpdate11
BG1FixPack11
BG1UB_v12 into c:\games\BG (full install)

Run BG, created character, quited.

BG2 & ToB into c:\games\BG2
bg1tutu_v4 & Tutufix_v18 into the same directory
Edited the configuration file.
Run bg1tutu with keep and no new kits.
Run tutufix and installed all parts.

After that run bgmain and Imoen started to speak random dialogue after I recruited her.

Any ideas?

Few additions to the previous:

After installing Bg2 & ToB I installed BGII-ThroneofBhaal_Patch_26498_ENGLISH.

My BG disks are 4 DVD set by Atari.

The BG1Tutu needs a clean installed BG1, not a modified install like yours, so the: BG1FixPack11, BG1UB_v12 are no-no's.
The BG1_UB needs to be installed into the BG1TUTUed BG2 directory...

Just read this:

"BG1UB should be installed in your Tutu directory."

from the BG1UB thread. Is that so and if it is why doesn't the setup-bg1ub say it's in wrong directory (one for BG not in BG2).

Because it can be installed into the BG1 directory too, and to BG1TUTU folder(that's the actual BG2 folder), or EasyTutu folder, and to BGT(-WeiDU) folder(again the BG2 folder).

But the file structure changes when you use the BG1TUTU to make the BG2 game to have the BG1's content... and because the BG1TUTU assumes you have a clean BG1 directory, it doesn't need to account that you could have a mod installed... here's the common list you should install your Tutu mods.
