How to find/import edited portrait files for IWD series
« on: August 20, 2010, 11:57:17 AM »
the title pretty much says it i remember you could import portraits in Baldur's gate portraits folder or was it override i forgot but all you had to make sure was that the two sizes where right and named like name_L name_S or a format like that. Ive been looking on how to find the deafult IWD portraits i want to edit one, and then how to add it to custom portraits.

Here you go:

Quote
Icewind Dale Male & Female Portraits
All male (33) and female (20) Icewind Dale portraits (including those from Heart of Winter and Trials of the Luremaster), extracted and resized to work without alterations in Baldur's Gate 1 & 2.

To add them to your BG game, simply drop them in the override with the appropriate naming scheme (L or S where relevant, no more than 8 characters for the file name) and then choose the portrait you want from the Customize character section within the game.

Custom portraits of either game should be dumped into the Portrait folder. Icewind Dale you have to make a folder named Portraits yourself.

Yeah, I quick posted. Using the portraits folder is better, you find stuff a lot faster. Plus, portraits folder overrides the Override folder.
