Install Help
« on: March 31, 2009, 06:29:58 PM »
I know you folks have probably answered this a lot, but how exactly do I install it?

I put all the files I downloaded for DBG into the Shadows of Ahmn folder, then activated the EXE file and it opened that DOS thing and it asked if I wanted to install it or not and when I put in yes it said error and I don't know what I'm doing wrong,  ???

I click the installer and it says: Choose your language. I pick 0 for English then it says: "ERROR: No translation provided for: @0 Continue Despite Error [Install Component [Undefined String:           @0]? (I)nstall, [N]ot Install, or [Q]uit?" I press 'i' and it comes up with more error messaging

It's all written in the readme.

1) Click the exe you downloaded. The exe can be anywhere, in any directory. It will unpack the files into your BG2 directory(if you choose the right download folder, that is).
2) Click Setup-DungeonBeGone.exe in your BG2 directory.

This should work.

It never offered a folder (or that browse thing) to extract the files to.

i kept getting the same error message (No translation provided for: @0 Continue Despite Error [Install Component [Undefined String:           @0)   and it was driving me crazy because i love this mod. i had it installed (with no issues) on my old computer that ran WINXP and am now using Vista. it turns out that for some reason the zip file was not extracting properly and i had to manually drag the files out of the zip archive into the game directory. don't ask me why this worked but it did  :)

note: i used WINRAR to fix this problem

1. save DungeonBeGoneV16.zip into your game directory (usually c:/program files/ black isle/ BGII - SoA/)

2. double click on the zip file (do not right-click to let it automatically unzip into your game directory)

3. you will see 3 files and 1 folder listed
folder- "jassy"
dbgaudio.bat
Setup-DungeonBeGone.exe
Setup-DungeonBeGone.tp2

4. drag the 3 files and the folder into your game directory

5. double click on Setup-DungeonBeGone.exe  and the mod should install

hope it works for you!! :)
