Xan flees after removing him at the inn
« on: October 01, 2008, 06:14:23 PM »
I am playing the BGT-Weidu version of the mega mod and had a problem free installation, of the non expert version, which has Xan romance and friendship installed and also leave your party members at an inn. I am currently in BG itself, playing a CG female human fighter, with a 'heroic' reputation.

I need to do the knoll stronghold quest, and knowing Dyaneir is there, I went to the inn to drop Xan off temporarily.  When  I dismiss him, he says something about the party being hopeless, and runs out.. I have no idea where.  We'd been getting along fine in the friendship talks, he seemed fine. Will there be someplace I can pick him up again, or have I seen the last of him for this game

I thought it would be possible to leave them and repick them up  I also left Kivan there, to pick up Minsc and he doesn't go anywhere and will rejoin, Jaheir, Zar, and their companions have also patiently waited, as has Gavin once, and Branwyr is also.  He's my first problem pc that way  ???

I do enjoy having him around, even if he does die a lot  ;D. Lvl four casters have a rough time of it.  I don't know where to post this exactly but am posting it here and at G3 forums.

Thank you

If you are playing BG1 part of the game with BGT installed, you will have better luck asking at BGT board at Spellhold Studios, or indeed at BG1 NPC forum at G3; you're right here. Xan BG2 NPC does not affect BG1 part of the game.

Best of luck with fixing it, and glad you like having Xan around.

(You don't have Virtue installed, right? Because if you do, especially if it's not installed last, uninstall it right away - it may be your problem).
