Well, I haven't had a *real* snow storm since I left DC, so  I kinda miss it... :(  Guess you always miss what you had, and hate what you have! :D  (and I currently have fog and rain, yuck!)

Yeah, I know I wouldn't want to live without true changes in season. That said, I could have done without last year's record-twice-the-average snowfall that I was often shoveling three times a day, but snow as a concept I am not opposed to.

I can do without snow in October, but we had it this year.  Seriously, a small flurry around Christmas, then pile it on over January and February.  None of this snowing into March and April any more.  Snow when I'm used to it and I can deal.

Some sun would be nice, too; and more than the one day where temperatures were high enough to actually feel the heat, and it got so bad I got sunburn for the first time in my whole life.  Even a week of nice weather would be good enough for us to have some kind of summer.

I like when it's warm and sunny, too. Snow is pretty, and it's almost December, so it's high time for it and everything. But a piece of summer would be nice - just a week when it's sunny, above zero, and winds are sleeping.

(Besides, we could do with a couple of Jasons here: I nearly drowned this morning as I was crossing the yard. And our apartment building is next to the hospital - poor sick people!)

Wind! Oh, don't get me started on wind!  We lived in the city, and the wind howled down our street!  We live in the countryside, and the wind howls down our... uh, the fields...

Snow is cool. Literally and not so.

Seems it's about time for me and my pal to make a lot of snowball marks onto our old school building once again, as we did the last winter. And no, don't ask why two adult idiots would bombard a school with snowballs at 12 AM. I've got no clue either, though we weren't drunk or something, that I know for certain.

And I like when it's cool and windy. Feels really cool, much like the pun :)

Fresh snow rules. I love the sound, the smell, the look, the feel...

"the one that makes me laugh!" she said and threw her arms around my neck.

It's gone now. So no snowballs, if you're around Moscow. (However, I suspect it'll be back, greater and more terrible than ever before).

Snow does look strange on green grass, doesn't it?

All your snow must be here :D

There's 10 local schools now closed due to the weather, and it's growing.  One of them is the location of the kid's after school club, so it might be an early-finish Friday for me!

Awww, if I were a kid, I'd be happy. No school. I could tell you a few scary stories from early 90's: winter, -25C, no heat, schools were closed, and we kids stayed at home, but it was cold there, too, so we had to make do with hot tea and blankets. Still, home is always better.

Speaking of which, it's Friday, people!

It's still snowy in Petersburg. Not much but enough make a snowball.

Well, we're home at Sunny... er, snowy Sauchen (Scotland!) well before work would usually end, have had a snowball fight, made a snowman (there were three at the school!!) and now it's a blizzard one minute, and a serenely beautiful and still winter landscape the next.

Since all my driving for the weekend is possibly done, I'll sit back and enjoy it :)

I dont care if it snows this weekend.... as long as it stops before i go back to work.   we get alot of snow in Pittsburgh and it looks so pretty, but when i have to drive home at midnite.... it can be a bit scary !
