mods won't recognise game directory
« on: May 08, 2023, 10:57:34 AM »
Hi,

I am unable to install mods for bgee on my mac. I'm far from versed in these things but I have done this before on previous run throughs, yet now I keep getting the message below when I run the terminal program. The mods are located within the directory with chitin.key. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

/Users/stuart/Library/Application\ Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Baldur\'s\ Gate\ Enhanced\ Edition/setup-cdtweaks ; exit;
[/Users/stuart/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition/setup-cdtweaks] WeiDU version 24900

Please run this program in your Infinity Engine game directory.

FATAL ERROR: Failure("Not a game directory")

Just to make sure: inside the folder with the Chitin.key you have the mod folder and the setup-mymod.command etc. (the mod files are not inside another folder one level down)?

Hi Jastey, yes, I've extracted all files into the file containing chitin

Then I'm stumped. You might get more general help with installing mods on mac at G3 or BeamDog's.

Thanks for the help, managed to sort it. A solution, if anyone else has this problem, is to use the MacOS Weidu Launcher, which runs the installation of mods and gets around this issue. Just extract it in the same directory with chitin, run it, and select the mod you want to install.
