DELETE_ITEM_EFFECT of Weidu v208
« on: August 17, 2008, 05:33:21 PM »
Could someone point me to the correct syntax and usage of DELETE_ITEM_EFFECT?
If I understand the WeiDU documentation it is a built in macro provided by Gort. It states:
Quote
DELETE_ITEM_EFFECT: deletes all extended effects with specified opcode from an item. This is a PATCH macro.

    * SET opcode_to_delete to the opcode of the effect you want to delete. Opcode of (-1) will match all effects.
For my needs I want to set it to -1 but I'm not sure of the exact syntax.
Do I write
Code: [Select]
DELETE_ITEM_EFFECT
 SET opcode_to_delete = -1
Or do I do
Code: [Select]
SET opcode_to_delete = -1
DELETE_ITEM_EFFECT
and is "opcode_to_delete" the built in variable name or what?

any help would be appreciated thank you.

Code: [Select]
SET opcode_to_delete = 0-1
LAUNCH_PATCH_MACRO DELETE_ITEM_EFFECT

No need to remind me that it's unintuitive  :)
