Character Creation Crashes (CIcon.cpp line164)

Hi there,

I just discovered tutu a few days ago, and have been running into issues trying to get it to run. (Doesn't help I couldn't find my BGII Expansion disc until tonight). Anyway, I did full installs of BG 1 + TotSC along with BG SoA and ToB. They are clean installs. I updated with the official patches once finished.

I ran Easytutu (latest version) and it installed fine. The error I am getting is during character creation. I'm trying to make a sorcerer, but as soon as I get to the window to pick skills (spells specifically), I get the error that it could not find/run  CIcon.cpp at line164. It then crashes and sends me straight to the desktop.

Any help on resolving this problem would be appreciated, thanks I just have no clue where to start on fixing this. Sorcerer is my favorite class to play

Are you able to create a sorcerer in a normal BG2 game?  Did you install the version of EasyTutu which matches your BG2 installation (i.e., SoA or ToB)?  Are you using any mods?

It works fine in the normal BG2 game. I uninstalled tutu and BGII SoA/ToB, (deleted the folders completely to get rid of any remnant files) than reinstalled... and still am getting the same error/crash. I'm not using any mods, and have the correct version for ToB. Perhaps the problem is with my BG1 instead? Seems strange since it's a problem with the sorcerer skills rather than the BG1 content. I'll try another erase and reinstall of the first game/expansion and tutu *crosses fingers*
