Download here (available at SHS mirror, will arrive at the other mirrors soon).

-------------------------
Restored Textscreen Music
Version 6
Author: Ascension64
-------------------------

OVERVIEW
This small modification simply restores, and makes more consistent with the text, the music that is heard during the prologue textscreen and the dream textscreens in Baldur's Gate or Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast.  Since the music is hard-coded into Baldur's Gate or Baldur's Gate and Tales of the Sword Coast, this music was remixed into the narration sounds.  Effort has been made to ensure the narration follows the text, so that the narrator does not narrate too far ahead of what the text shows.

REQUIREMENTS
BG1TuTu, EasyTutu, or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU must be installed prior to installation of this modification.

INSTALLATION
1. Extract the archive 'TxtMusic_v6.rar' to your BG1TuTu, EasyTutu or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU installation directory.
2. Run the file 'Setup-TxtMusic.exe' in your BG1TuTu, EasyTutu, or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU installation directory.  Setup will automatically determine which platform you have installed.

COMPATIBILITY
There are no compatibility issues between this modification and all other modifications.

USAGE
Simply start a new BG1TuTu, EasyTutu, or Baldur's Gate Trilogy-WeiDU game to enjoy the music during the textscreen.

KNOWN ISSUES
The following French paragraph has no narration. No sound file contains it.
"Votre père adoptif est plein d'entrain aujourd'hui, malgré son âge, et il vous faut courir pour le suivre. Une réunion importante avec Ulraunt, le Gardien des Livres, l'attend : une réunion importante à votre propos. C'est étrange... Vous n'en avez pas le souvenir."

Just curious: why has "this small modification" grown from 4.5M to 51.4M ?

The dream narrations have all been remixed. You are right though...it is no longer 'small'.

Would it not be better to package the different languages separately?

Considering more than two thirds of the download is actually the ogg files in a different language it would reduce a players download from 50M to approx 15M.

I considered that option, and I think it will be the way to go for future versions. It does, on the developer side, massively compound the actual number of 'mods' being released, which can get a bit messy, but I think I can handle it.

There are only two versions to really choose from: v5 apparently gives better music than v4, but that is the only difference.

There is no link for the restored textscreen music pack at the SHS page.

There is a section that describes the mod and states the particulars but no download of it.

Any other alternate download mirrors up at this time I'm unaware of?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Perhaps it is a bit hidden but through that link just select a download location. Unfortunately, only two of all the links there seem to have the latest version - some of the mirrors don't work for me, Dragonshoard is out-of-date, and I haven't gotten around to updating the SHS one.
