Shapeshifter (E-o-U) rebalancing bug

Hello there,
I've just returned to BG2, downloaded some mods (including Ease-of-Use), started a new game with a shapeshifter, and got a bug.
The symptoms are simple: I can't shapeshift! Simple as that, when I use the appropriate ability icon, my druid is still in human form. I've also got just one shapeshift a day (whereas normally there is one change for two levels). Is it a bug of my BG2 version, this mod, or does it somehow mess up with other mods I've activated (they're mainly NPC mods, however).

I believe it gives you a unique paw item, which you equip.  However, I'd strongly recommend you install BG2 Tweaks at Gibberlings 3, which includes all of EoU in a more bugfixed state.
