I stumbled upon following unused lines in Keldda.dlg:
Quote
IF ~~ THEN BEGIN 3 // from:
SAY #2437 /* ~'Tis a great service you have done the people of this area, but it merely makes up for your previous acts of violence within these walls.  You will get but 2000 gold, and then you will leave my sight!  Be thankful the guard does not place you in chains, let alone reward you!~ */
  IF ~~ THEN DO ~GivePartyGold(2000)
~ EXIT
END

IF ~~ THEN BEGIN 4 // from:
SAY #2438 /* ~I realize that it takes two to fight, but you took it too far.  As soon as you used other means than your fists you were essentially using a weapon on an unarmed opponent.  Now, because you were provoked you will be let off with only a fine, but if this happens again you'll be in the guardhouse!~ */
  IF ~~ THEN DO ~TakePartyGold(300)
~ EXIT
END

IF ~~ THEN BEGIN 5 // from:
SAY #2439 /* ~It's unfortunate that people will often come to blows to settle their differences, but it is something we must live with.  Ganging up on one man however, is reprehensible! Now, because you were provoked you will be let off with only a fine, but if this happens again you'll be in the guardhouse!~ */
  IF ~~ THEN EXIT
END

IF ~~ THEN BEGIN 7 // from:
SAY #2441 /* ~Without the beasts head, I cannot give you the reward.  I hope you understand.~ */
  IF ~~ THEN EXIT
END
State 7 hints that wyvern hunt was probable supposed to be full-fledged quest, not just an occasional reward; state 3 might have been planned for low rep parties claiming reward for Bassilus; and states 4-5 possible purpose evades me.  ;)

I thinik 4 and 5 are about killing Marl in Feldepost's Inn.

3 looks to be Bassilus related - possibly to be implemented if the Marl scene went poorly but the Bassilus quest was later completed?

I just got an idea for the Marl quest as I was re-reading this.  What if the quest was designed so that if you did say the wrong thing, he would eventually calm down, maybe like the Tenya quest (or Ludrug/Shar-teel).  That way, you could still get closure for the quest, and Kelddath would have a semi-good reason to be mad at you if you killed Marl.  After all, if I'm in a rage over my dead son, and somebody whacks me with a sword, I'd snap out of it and rethink my situation a bit.

What is it in games with VIP sons picking fights in taverns anyway? ;-)

...You make it sound like making him calm down is not already an option, while it is. It gives 900 xp instead. Look: (quote from dudleyville.com)

Marl and Dunkin

Enter Feldepost's Inn AR3351 where surly Marl will approach you near the entrance. You can kill him or reason with him. To win him over say: "No need to...", "I just do...", "Hold on! Everyone...", "If you knew...", "The Realms call..." which are options 1, 1, 3, 3, 1. You cannot kill Marl after calming him down without losing reputation.

As I rethink this, it is a tad bit too much work for no reason.  Of course, I do hate it when I accidentally say the wrong thing and have to kill him, or I can never do much at feldepost's again.
