"You have rested for five days and sixteen hours."
« on: April 07, 2006, 09:24:47 PM »
I've gotten that message twice now, once resting in Spellhold at the start of the gauntlet and the second time resting at the Vulgar Monkey in Brynnlaw.

Now, before I left for Brynnlaw, I had the party rest several, several times in rapid succesion to trigger an event in the Edwin romance. The time rested may very well have been five days and sixteen hours.  But it's pretty obvious that this isn't an ER related bug. The problem, however, is that five days and sixteen hours actually passes in-game.

The only thing I can surmise is that the game got confused and decided that five days and sixteen hours is the appropriate time to rest, not eight hours. Is there a variable I can reset, or something else to be done?

Thanks!

Or get a cleric in your party, and that time will be reduced to around 16 or 24 hours (enough time for them to memorize healing spells, cast them, and memorize the spells you order them to know). Five days and 16 hours is enough time to heal 17 hit points naturally, which is how much damage I'm guessing one of your guys had suffered. One hit point per 8 hour period.

You don't happen to have the Staff of Magi with you, do you?  I was using it's Spell Trap ability and exactly the same sort of thing happened to me - in Ust Natha.  Grrrrr.  Reload.

Does that staff make you invisible, too? I forget.

Well, I feel a bit silly now. Just removed Jaheria from the party to make room for Imoen and didn't even think about "rest until healed."

Thanks for the help.  ;D
