Iron Modder 9.5 (?)
« on: September 05, 2005, 03:49:33 PM »
So.

Clearly, Iron Modder over Labor Day is not such a good idea.

That said, it wasn't a European holiday, and there were no European entries.

Does anybody have any thoughts about how to better arrange the next contest around their schedules?

I'm away from 17th Oct (I think) to 18th Nov (I think). And a major assignment due sometime in October. Not that I will necessarily enter, although that .5 on the end of the IM contest number is strangely compelling.

I'm low on dates I know are good. October's a mess. I'm planning to visit my family the first weekend in Nov; I think the second weekend might be a possibility.

I start my PhD at the start of October so don't know what my weekends will be like. :) If you want to do October then it may be better for me for IM to be in the second half, so I've had some time to settle in.

I think I theoretically get internet in my room, too, which is convenient.

Were any of our expected Iron Modders affected by Hurricane Katrina?

I don't think so. None of the usual suspects are in the Gulf coast that I'm aware of.
