Invisible dialogues
« on: July 11, 2005, 12:03:18 PM »
Every time a dialogue shows up the letters are invisible. I can still press some keys (1, 2, 3, ...) to answer, but it makes conversation extremely hard. Any idea how to fix that? I reinstalled BG2, IWD2 and IWG two times, but it didn't help.

This generally means that your IWD2 dialog.tlk file is unwritable. Check its properties and make sure it is not set to read-only. Also, quit out of all other applications, especially the IWD2 game itself and any game editors/modding tools.

The properties of the tlk files are fine and i don't have any editors / modding-tools, but i found out, that this problem only occurs with female characters. Now i made a backup of the dialogF.tlk and use the dialog.tlk as the dialogF.tlk : Problem gone   :pirate
But any ideas why i have this problem only with female characters?

Ah. Perhaps Weimorph wasn't patching dialogf.tlk in that version? Or do you have mismatching languages for the two games (specifically, an English version of one but not the other?)

Nope. Both versions have the same languages (german).
But it looks like that the dialogF.tlk is already included in the dialog.tlk , because the correct personal pronoun ist  beeing used.
