When all else fails, brute force!
« on: June 29, 2005, 08:33:58 PM »
When your theif can't pick the lock, your mage never learnt "Knock", what do you do? Answer: a great big sledge hammer! I want to try this out, but keep running into glicthes, the properties of this hammer should be: usable by all above a certain minimun strenght, not practable as a weapon, 2 handed animation.

So what I have done is:
- set min str as 10
- weapon speed at 12 so 1 hit/ 2 rounds ( may up this 18 1 in 3)
- 24 str. while equipped but also a fatigue effect using #272 (0x110) Spell: Apply Effect on Condition using condition 3 while equpped, this makes it inpracitable to equipped for any length of time. So it's not used as a strenght booster for pack mules.

Now I run into problems usability as 2 handed monks can't use it, if I set profenicy to large sword cleric's can't use it, and using halbred animation looks wrong! Any sugesstions?

The proficiency won't mean Clerics cannot use it, usability is determined by a different set of flags. :)

You could use the warhammer or mace animations as a one-handed equivalent, perhaps?

EDIT: To make it more a safe-cracking weapon, perhaps you could give it a chance of casting Knock on a hit.
