Who is the woman in the upper right corner of the ub logo supposed to be in the mod (since I don't have it yet)? I know the portrait seems based on diane kruger, who played helen of troy in the movie Troy.

She is based on Natasha Henstridge actually:

Portraits in readme?
« Reply #3 on: March 10, 2006, 03:49:20 PM »
Just wondering... the alternate portraits that appeared to be supposed to be seen in the readme don't show for me.  I'd be curious to see Yoshimo's and Anomen's original portraits, but can't install the mod (for some reason, lol, like my BG2 won't run at all at the moment).  Anyone nice enough to fw me a link or post them here?

Oops, sorry.  I think those links must have broke when my domain went poof.

Until we can get it fixed, the portraits should appear in these two posts:

Thank you, Icelus.  Now my curiosity is sated ;-)  Although Anomen actually looks a lot better with his definitive BG2 portrait, nevermind the scars lol

So, there's a block of four portraits on the PPG page for this mod, and I'm curious as to which portrait is on the upper right... and where I might download it, for that matter.  I'm liking it. ;p

It's Karse Soze's version of Natasha Henstridge in Viconia's bondage gear. I seem to recall it's used for Suna Seni in UB.

Yes, I wonder why there is no option for a NPC/NPC romance.

I'm baffled...
« Reply #9 on: August 16, 2006, 06:25:37 PM »
Heya, I was installing UB yesterday, always wanted to play it  ;)

Loaded a saved game to check yoshi new portrait and havent liked it, I havent even saved the game, just looked and quit out of the game.

Problem is I cant find a way to remeove it now, I even restored my install (dialog, chitink key, override folder and weidu.log), cache was deleted too.. everytime I go into the game and I open any save that has yoshi on it his portrait is changed to the one from UB

I'm baffled cause I can't seem to figure out what is causing this, I didn't have any .bmp for his portrait into my override, I checked his .cre and it uses his regular portrait, I tried to name and insert .bmp of his normal portrait into the override folder, still everyime I go into the game, even on saves prior to UB install, his portrait is changed original one from UB.

Can someone point me why is this happening?

Did you uninstall the original Yoshimo portrait? You have to run the installation again and uninstall that component.

The new Yoshimo portrait is probably still in your Portraits folder. It'll override the original from there too.

I wished it was so simple.. I can even start the game WITHOUT an override folder, as soon as I load a save the portrait is changed.

Haven't biffed any part of it, and even if the mod itself has some auto-biff, I replaced the chitin.key (as mentioned on 1st post, also deleted and replace override.. but duh this is obvious enough)

If it was something simple I would have fixed myself, thats the reason I'm asking some help on discovering why is this happening.

It should be simple: Check on his cre what portrait is assigned to him, check the same file on override, none o them were on override (and they shouldnt), then I have even gone and exported a copy of his portrait to the override, still that did not help..

Then I sctratched head and though.. "gee how did they do that ?" I've gone and checked his script, dplayer script, even baldur.bcs to see if there was some action calling for a spell or strange effect on him, again nothing.

That's why I must say I'm really baffled at this, I dunno how this is happening, but perhaps I'll try a little trick and see if it works, I'll replace the .bmp on \ub\yoshimo for the real one and see how it goes.

Okay, that worked   :D

Still, what bothers me is not his protrait at all (its actually nice, though I rather the old one), is not knowing how this happened.

I just checked and there are now the 2 .bmp (obviously), a new file on override called ubyoshi.xxx  (must be some kind of UB identifier I take), and also some lines were added to the end of my ACTION.IDS (???), now this is what I consider unusual for a portrait change, but then I understand nothing about weidu.

Anyway, helps to make me figure out my own solutions in the future and not coming to the boards, if I'm to be treated like a complete idiot (I can be dumb.. but not that dumb)  :)

This is the first time I've ever seen a restoration of .exe/override/dialog/chitin/weidu.log/cache not being able to undo something.. it was a helluva scary.

That is strange. I didn't like the new Yoshimo portrait, either, but once I uninstalled it, the old savegames had the old portrait again.

One of us had something strange happening, but I have no idea which.

It's Suna Seni (see "The Suna Seni/Valygar Relationship Restoration" component). IIRC the mod automatically installs a copy of her portraits for use by player characters.

Or an unkown model turned unknown actress mostly remarked upon for her state of undress and spiky back immortalized by a Danish portrait artist. http://www.karwal.dk/portraitportal/
