Valen won't stop charming, and she randomly stops attacking.

Ok, I have two small problems with Valen:

1) She won't stop charming enemies even when I tell her to.

2) Sometimes she'll stop attacking her current target and just stand there. She won't attack the target again (if I click on it) until I first mover her a little bit. (At first I thought it was because she woulnd't attack charmed opponents, but that is not the case. Sometimes she keeps attacking charmed opponents and other times she stops attacking noncharmed opponents.)

Game engine bug. You're in the underdark, right?

Here's a quote from the README:

NOTE: You may also want to install the "no drow avatars" component of the
Ease-of-Use mod when you install Valen, or a bug in BG2 may cause her to
"stutter" (walk, stop, walk, stop) in the Underdark. This bug actually
bites anyone who can regenerate.

If you're not in the underdark I'm not as sure about what to say. Try moving "Valen.bcs" out of your override folder (onto the desktop, say) and playing again for a few minutes and let us know what happens.

It happens everywhere, and yes I did read that bit about the Drow avatars, so I turned it off with EoU. I'll try your suggestion.

I too ran into her charming everything phase in Underdark, didnt consider it any more than slightly annoying till she charmed a drow warrior who then attacked my fallen planatar turning it hostile which then chunked Solaufein in one blow....

valen works fine for me, except when im being nice and she opens her big gob!
