Because I'm a moralistic self-conceded prick, for one.

Because I help a lot of people, for two.

And how does taunting prevent one from being lawful good?  Just because I give people a hard time for amusement doesn't mean I can't uphold virtue and all that blather.  Note, the tests are also biased to western cultures.  I bet most people from Asian cultures would get lawful neutral, no matter how thick their moral strands.

I'd also like to see evidence of this 'too much taunting' - I remember a whole wholloping one.
well you call yourself a prick ;) for starters
and in the other trheat you think your better than other elitist, that ain't the attitude of an lawful good person

So if a paladin made fun of his friends, he'd fall?
So if Drizzt the everscummy character said he was better than another dark elf at fighting, he'd not be of a good alignment?
It's not like my taunts ever seek to injure.

Neutral. Weird.
"Show me how you do that trick! The one that makes me scream", she said,
"the one that makes me laugh!" she said and threw her arms around my neck.
"Show me how you do it and I promise you, I promise that
I'll run away with you, I'll run away with you..."

Neutral Evil

A neutral evil villain does whatever she can get away with. She is out for herself, pure and simple. She sheds no tears for those she kills, whether for profit, sport, or convenience. She has no love of order and holds no illusion that following laws, traditions, or codes would make her any better or more noble. On the other hand, she doesn’t have the restless nature or love of conflict that a chaotic evil villain has. The criminal who robs and murders to get what she wants is neutral evil. Some neutral evil villains hold up evil as an ideal, committing evil for its own sake. Most often, such villains are devoted to evil deities or secret societies. The common phrase for neutral evil is "true evil." Neutral evil is the most dangerous alignment because it represents pure evil without honor and without variation.

Hooray.

I think it means you're constantly ruthless without regards to chaos or law (which is retarded), so it's not all the same, just... well, it's alignment.  Alignment sucks.  What the hell are we doing wasting our time talking about alignment?

Look, puppies!  Kittens!  Donuts!

Oh wait, this is an alignment quiz thread.  Ah well.

Jansens aren't as harmless like everybody supposes!
They got them stumpy legs and puffy potato noses!
And what's with all the turnips?
Why do they eat so much root vegetables, anyway?
Jansens, Jansens,
It must be Jansens!!!
(or it could be griffins)

UU, I think there's a difference between Neutral Weird and "Neutral... weird." :)

Edit: Okay, looking back, Evaine might also be validly pegged as NW in alignment.  Not that I'm any sort of expert.

The following I did just out of curiosity because I was angry at not being able to record voice on my computer.  Slight alignment change ... hehe

Chaotic Neutral

A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn’t strive to protect others’ freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. The chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). The common phrase for chaotic neutral is "true chaotic." Remember that the chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom both from society’s restrictions and from a do-gooder’s zeal.

I think people are forgeting that the alignmenet test is for your character not for you.

The test was made to help you see what your alignment is. Or to test alignment restricted characters to see if they are behaving to there alignment.
Now, at last, the masks had fallen away.  The strings of the puppets had become visible, and the hands of the prime mover exposed.  Most ironic of all was the last gift that Raziel had given me, more powerful than the sword that now held his soul, more acute even than the vision his sacrifice had accorded me - the first bitter taste of that terrible illusion:  Hope.

I've seen paladins provoke combat.

If one acts out of charity and has a deep respect for the law, yet also has chaotic tendencies, what would you classify him or her as then?  Neutral good?  What if the law-abiding bits outnumber the chaotic bits?

I did it in character.  My character just happened to be very, very angry, tired, upset and frustrated.

Oh, I thought I was awarded with this alignment because of my great deeds... I see, I'll have to try harder from now on.
