6 party members
« on: November 02, 2004, 02:18:24 AM »
well its all great and dandy stroling around, atempting to slay gods, their greater demons and daemons, minions and followers, it seems slighty daft that you can only have 6 party members. wow thats great you and five frends get the chance to fight single handedly against thousands of enimies. it makes no sence that one cant have more thatn 6 party members, and it would just be great to have that dream team of NPCs all together at once, not just the best 6.

if any one knows of a mod that allows you to break this rule i would appreciate it if they could tell me where to find it, or where to find some one who could create it.

It's a hard-coded limit.  Meaning, it's simply not possible to create a mod to allow more than six party members.  Sorry.

However, you may want to keep an eye on GemRB.  It aims to completely recreate the original .exe and then some, and they may well add support for >6 party members (especially if enough people bug them about it ;)).

The Gibberlings Three - home to the BG1 NPC Project, BG2 Tweak Pack, Divine Remix, GemRB, Lands of Intrigue, Song & Silence, and many more!

Um actually there is something you can do - there's a mod out called the company of eight mod - I'm not sure if it's a stand alone mod or not, but I downloaded the Check The Bodies mod and it was included. If you wanna check it out:

That's the Check The Bodies site - it's a bit of a large download though.

Trust me you don't want to check that out. It doesn't sound to kosher.

Company of Eight has nothing to do with more NPCs in the group. It's a mod about the FR campaign mercenary/adventurer group called "The Company of Eight".
Unknown to most, hlidskialf is the first incarnation of the eternal warrior with a beer fridge in his chair.
