Problem with using item spells
« on: November 26, 2004, 07:58:03 PM »
I have been able to get my items into the game, they work fine in combat, but I have not been able to get the spell ablilities to work right. Also when I click on the use spell icon, there are no numbers, yes I have checked the per day use box. I tried using the item in combat and the spell abilities do not take effect, but I get the line:Item drained. THanks for the help :)

I just had a thought just after I posted. I wondered if the charges were used up, so I rested. Guess what? I got my ablilities to work. Sorry for a lame post, but hey, one does not know until one asks.

That was probably caused by you using the CLUAConsole to import the item, but not specifying an amount/charges.

The format for that is CLUAConsole:CreateItem("ItemName",x,y,z)  Where X is the amount of charges for the first ability (or with ammo, the amount), Y for the second, and Z for the third.  No item can have more than three abilities.
