With MS Paint.
"Show me how you do that trick! The one that makes me scream", she said,
"the one that makes me laugh!" she said and threw her arms around my neck.
"Show me how you do it and I promise you, I promise that
I'll run away with you, I'll run away with you..."

You did that with MS Paint? Great gods, I'd like to see what you would do with real painting software. BTW, the hair is almost perfect in every one of your changed portraits, each in its own style, and one of the most distinctive features since few people do hair well.

Hey, when I played the game for the first time I always chose Nalia's portrait, because I found it quite fitting for me (you know, even those horrible drug addictish rings under her eyes :D )
It took me ages to find out that Nalia is supposed to use it.

Hm, by the way, is it a good or a bad thing?

EDIT: I had a look at the pic in the PPG-photoalbum. I don't resemble Nalia there, I don't even resemble myself. How did you come to this conclusion then, kendrick?

Its not a  bad thing I believe.  Most of us on here are here because we are quite fond of Nalia and prefer her pic to many others.  But its mainly because you have reddish-tinged hair,at least in that pic (I realize that its brown)  and also because you sorta have those rings under your eyes that Nalia has (no offense intended).  I dont find it a bad thing at all.

Btw, if you took the pic intended for Nalia, whose pic did she use when you played the game?

I'm pretty sure Nalia's alternate is Dynaheir. They all have alternates programmed.

No, my hair really is red in that pic, not brown (of course not naturally). I always have rings under my eyes as I go to bed far too late (2 am or even later).
Maybe if I get a decent pic of me one day, I'll show you, kendrick  ;)

Yes, Nalia uses Dynaheir's portrait instead, that's true.

Hmmm.  I usually pick Dynaheir and Minsc in BG1; would be interesting to have her die off at the beginning of BG2, then to pick up another Dynaheir look-alike.

In regards to your pic, you have us all waiting in breathless anticipation, Evaine. :)
I used to go to sleep as late as you do for a long time, but lately due to my job I go to sleep at about 11'ish.  I still have rings under my eyes and I can't seem to get rid of them.  I think they are permanent now.   :(

I liked Nalia "all of a sudden", too, when I realized how much I appreciate her good looks.;)

I think one reason many people prefer Nalia's pic is that in addition to being attractive, she is probably the most normal looking of all the females in the game.  Jaheira, Aerie, and Viconia are all elves, and even Imoen looks a little battered and scarred as well as having pink hair.  It's nice to play a game based on fantasy, but its also nice to have normal people around you sometimes.

On that note, can anyone make it so Nalia doesn't look like a crack-head?  That aspect of her portrait always bugged me...

Yes, exactly. Maybe you noticed that I seem to resemble her a little bit. That would mean that I look like a crack-head. I am not amused.

On Nachtschatten's advice I post a very first attempt to a bigger edited version of Nalia's portrait. I have worked on face and hair (not on its ends, though), but obviously not yet on her clothes.
I like her face, but I'm not content with the hair. Unlike last time, I drew it all by myself, that's why it looks.. different and unreal.
Please be patient with me :)

Edit: Dead. Finally.
