When you unzipped it, did you wind up with setup-indinpc.tp2, setup-indinpc.exe, and a folder named "indinpc"?  It looks to me like you unzipped the files without checking winzip's "retain folder structure" button, or whatever it's called.  Try doing that and re-run setup-indinpc.exe.

Nope. That was all there.

IndiNPC folder, .tp2 etc etc.

It's all in my BGII-SoA folder with the G3 mods for tutu.

This problem's happened a few times when I've tried to install, even with v3 and 2.

In that case, open up your indiNPC folder and see if there's a folder named "backup" in there.  If it's there, it should be empty.  If not, make one, and then try running the installation again.

I have a very similar problem with installation. I have BG Tutu with the BP Mod with G3 and Bone hill installed successfully on top. However, I cannot install the Indira mod. I do have a backup folder in there, which is empty. The debug file says:

Yes, I have Indira V5, and I tried it previously with V4 as well.

Looks like you'll have to wait for Mr. Fain to show up, then.

I have a very similar problem with installation. I have BG Tutu with the BP Mod with G3 and Bone hill installed successfully on top.

Wait... you installed Tutu *and* Big Picture?  I'm assuming you mean BP-BGT...

I'd say that, if this is the case, it is also likely the cause of the problem.

That's correct. There were instructions on how to get all the different mods together, and after alot of experimentation, it did work. I had Tutu pus the Big Picture Mod. I then installed the G3 and Bone hill mods, and they work as well. I am not sure about Indira, but I think it may be a problem with how the BP mod interacts with Tutu.

wow - you installed Big Picture and Tutu and got the thing to run? i've never heard of anyone installing BP and Tutu, and hey, if installing Indira is the only thng that's gone wrong since then, then i'd say be happy with what you've got. i wouldnt have thought BP and Tutu would be even remotely compatible. which Bone Hill do you have installed, by the way? the brand new one (made for Tutu) or the one that's been out for a while (only works with BP-BGT)?

edit ok, looking over yr posted log file, you've got BP-BGT-NEJ installed with the BP-BGT version of Bone Hill. Indira only works with Tutu (which is a different BGI to BGII conversion than BP-BGT-NEJ, and the two are incompatible) and so it is not installing. Indira is looking for a Tutu-specific Imoen file and is not finding it; ergo Tutu isn't installed.

on the other hand,

Oh well, thanks for the confirmation. I used the Bone hill mod for the combined version and it installed without difficulty.

I guess I will have to wait for an update.

Thanks for all the postings- they really help quite a bit.

So has it been confirmed that Baldur's Gate Trilogy is installed (BGT), or Baldur's Gate to Two (Tutu)?

If the former, Indira will not work, if the latter, more troubleshooting will be required.

It was BGT being installed that was the problem.

I am using Tutu for the very first time, so forgive me if I am somewhat ignorant of how it all works.

I grabbed my copy of Indira, tried (keyword being *tried*) to follow the instructions for installing, but I'm having no luck at all.  I thought I was supposed to unzip the file into my BG1Tutu folder...?  Was I wrong? When I try that, I get this:

Quote
[C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\bg1tutu\Setup-IndiNPC.exe] WeiDU version
 161

ERROR: Unable to find DIALOG.TLK in:
        dialog.tlk

Please run this program in your Infinity Engine game directory.

ERROR: Failure(_)

Press ENTER to exit.

So I tried a different tactic, I extracted to my actual BG2 installation folder.  No luck, I get this:
Quote
[C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\bg1tutu\Setup-IndiNPC.exe] WeiDU version
 161

ERROR: Unable to find DIALOG.TLK in:
        dialog.tlk

Please run this program in your Infinity Engine game directory.

ERROR: Failure(_)

Press ENTER to exit.

Then I tried extracting to my BG1 folder.  Got this:
Quote
[C:\Program Files\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate\Setup-IndiNPC.exe] WeiDU version 161

Extracting to your BG2 directory is right. However, it looks like you're extracted to the BG1Tutu subfolder within that directory. Don't do that. :)

Before attempting to install, I read this post - so I installed to the BG2 main directory.  Unfortunately, I get the exact same error.

I've emailed the error report to Ghreyfain.

Can you check your BG2 folder for a file called FW5201.are?

Huh.  And you have a folder called IndiNPC in your BG2 folder, right?  Does it have a backup folder in it?

I have the folder called IndiNPC within my BG2 folder, but it does not have a backup folder within it.

Hmm.  Okay, I think that's because I don't have a placeholder file in there, so whichever program you use to decompress stuff neglected to shuffle the backup folder over from the archive.

Try creating a folder named "backup" within the IndiNPC folder.  Then run setup-indinpc.exe in your BG2 folder.

Looks like that did the trick! w00t!

Now, do I need to start a new game of BG1 or can I proceed using my current save game?

Not too sure on that score.  To test it out really quickly, type this in the cluaconsole:

CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("FW5201")

Then use the cheat keys to jump roughly to the coordinates 1012.1467.  If Indira's there, things are dandy, so go reload and play the game as normal.  If she's not around, or her dialogue's wonked, I guess you'll have to do a restart.
