All the bugfixes for the Minsc quest (so far) will be in v11.  ;)

As for the rest, *throws stuff at icelus to get his attention*  :P

I defy your violence.

I also do not know yet what new components will be in v11.  It may simply be a bugfix/translation update.

There will be no version 11. Version 10 is perfect and flawless.

I wish we could add the Slayer quest at last... It's been "almost done" since the pre-beta version!

THIS IS NOT A P&P RULE MOD
« Reply #8 on: July 03, 2004, 10:20:50 PM »
Just as an FYI...

I'd just like to make it clear that the purpose of this mod is not to bring BG2 in line with Pen & Paper D&D rules.

The purpose of this mod, rather, is to restore those things that Bioware cut or left unimplemented in the game.  Yes, the Kalah quest is an exception, but a case can be made for its inclusion.  Just about everything else has been restored based on confirmations from Bioware employees or existing in-game content.

That is all.   :)

Just as an FMI....

What exactly IS the justification behind the Kalah quest?  I'm not criticising it, and certainly don't want it to be removed, but I'm just curious...

Pretty much that - it was always something I found interesting, so when there were initial discussions near the start of the mod I offered to code something up about it. :)

At first, back when we didn't know there was so many things that were cut, we were also considering tying up some "loose ends " left by some of the quests.

No mod for the Bioware series can ever be PnP, since Bioware doesn't follow 2E properly...

Agreed, but my point is that UB is not going to try to correct that.  There are a few mods out there that endeavor to do so, but UB is not one of them.  :)

Heh... no, actually rreinier has been our beta tester for awhile, and tested the component when Barren first worked it up.

Icelus if i may ask what brought on this topic with its CAPITAL letters?
Now, at last, the masks had fallen away.  The strings of the puppets had become visible, and the hands of the prime mover exposed.  Most ironic of all was the last gift that Raziel had given me, more powerful than the sword that now held his soul, more acute even than the vision his sacrifice had accorded me - the first bitter taste of that terrible illusion:  Hope.

That'll be him crying out against the voices <wherever they may be> to SHUT UP AND LEAVE HIM ALONE.   Following this, we found Icey lying on the floor, soaked in his own sweat and Urine, crying softly to himself and muttering......

Partially because of Icelus's departure for a while <the poor guy needs something to keep his spirits up, c'mon>, I think that this thread deserves to be brought into existence.  Many people <myself included> first come to this forum to find out more about UB, and in many cases, to express thanks for what has been done.  I feel a thread is neccesary for this, as opposed to a situation where you have people starting threads along the lines of "U GIYS R SP GR8!!!!!11  U R ALL SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOL!  TEACH ME UR L337 skills!"
To avoid this abuse of the English language, please deposit cash settlements give thanks here! ;)

I think that Icelus had quite the terrific idea, starting to resurrect quests and random tidbits of the BG2 we never got to play. His project piqued my interest right away, as I had already been working on my first Weird Items post until 3 AM earlier that week. I was also amazed that it was Icelus' first attempt at modding, and that he went from a noob (I can still remember him asking who Suna Seni was!) to a real modding legend in such short time. So yes, all praise UB and Icelus!
