Which mods? Where? When?
« on: August 04, 2004, 06:16:10 AM »
There is a lot of scattered info about which mods work with Tutu, which don't work well, or at all.  Also, some need to be installed before the conversion and some after, and it's not clear, even in the forums, which are which.

I'd like to know what experience you've had with mods, as well as install suggestions.  Which mods are really worth installing and which are pretty much a waste of time?

It would be nice to gather all this under one topic heading.

Thanks for your help on this one.

The following mods will work after installing after TUTU conversion was run:

Indira NPC - adds a half-elf NPC
Mur'Neth NPC - adds an ooze NPC
BG1NPC project - adds dialogues to all BG1 BioWare NPCs, quests, romance, etc
Grey Clan - adds a quest

Download and info  links about these mods can be found here:

Don't forget the G3 Tutu Tweak pack.

And it's odd that the Tutu Fixpack's not been advertised either. I think that's on http://www.pocketplane.net/tutu

Grey Clan - adds a quest
A little correction: adds a longer quest with subquests and a new area, adds new creatures with new scripts & dialogs, and with some new items.

There are several mods under development which will work with BG1Tutu (and can be installed anytime while playing BG1Tutu), the Herbs & Potions Add-in will allow you to brew your own unique potions, this mod will soon be finished. The huge BG1 Quest Pack (adds areas with new graphics and more than 100 quests) won't come out soon. (For information on any, visit http://forums.blackwyrmlair.net )

Thanks, all.

I understand the Baldurdash mods/fixes get installed before Tutu conversion.

Was also interested in the Ease of Use Mod, but haven't figured out exactly how to install it.

Keep those cards and letters coming!!

BG1 EoU should be installed on BG1 before the tutu conversion, as should BG1 baldurdash.  BG2 baldurdash... I think you can install that on the tutu BG2 at any time.  I'd recommend installing it before Tutu, and I'm honestly not sure what fixes would apply to the Tutu content.

The old BG1 Ease of Use mod is pretty much made obsolete by the more up-to-date Tutu Tweak Pack.
