Guess he has a lot of facts to back it up. He can't even remember the stats right.  ::)

Reports indicate that Alassa also sucks. (Hey, I'm not arguing.)

Good thing us modding communities are waay ahead of their posting levels, I see. ::) Even the Bioware boards (where I lurk once in awhile) aren't close enough to their level.

I feel a bit sorry for their moderator.

One-Day-NPCs were a nice change from huge TCs being promised within the next 2 years and were then delayed or lost. Sucking is part of the character. Some like it some don't.

You know, I'm not so sure about that.

As I pointed out on Neoseeker, in one day I managed to provide Ghareth with all of these:

- Original soundset
- Join, part, and rejoin dialogues
- 18 party banters
- 4 scenery-character banters
- Trademeet Fortune-teller fortune
- Over two dozen quest interjections
- Tree of Life dialogue
- Pocket plane summoning
- Volo biography
- Epilogue

...which I personally consider Not At All Bad.

Right, but for a player who isn't impressed by an original soundset, dialogue, interjections, and epilogues, that leaves a pretty hollow shell.

I mean, c'mon, he doesn't even have a special melee ability that deals 200+ damage every so often!

Sorry, as much as I talk elsewhere I might have used enough words to get my POV across.

By sucking I mean there is no ranking in characters, It all boils down to playing style. I like the casting and the beauty of a nearly fainting system when all the spell triggers and contingencies blow a few gibberlings off the planes. :D I never use melee characters so Minsc is only with me, because of his banters. By sucking I should have said that a character is prob not within everybodies preferences. With Cleric-Remix I now would like to have a single-classed priest of Lathander or Selune without having it to play myself. So anybody who says any NPC sucks just says that he/she does not fit his/her playing style.

Your ability to make things blend in seamlessly into the game has not been questioned, rather the fact, if stats, background or banter have anything to do with it at all.

See there are some new posts there so I will comment further on their replies. What they want stats in the 20's or what? I suppose that is something common with those stupid console gamers. God like characters get boring!

I think I like that board.  I read a few threads and there was mention of both Goo and AoE.  Although I find it bizarre that that Rage guy who dislikes Ghareth so much seems to like Goo.  Or, well, at least more than he likes Anomen.

Why do all the one day NPC's have terrible ability scores? Whoever made them needs to do a better job with those rolls when they are creating the characters. A what's the whole point behind one day NPC's. I could creat about 50 in one day easy. Of course they wouldn't have any dialogue but they'd kick the shit out of any of the other one day NPC's.
;D

And that was just page one...

Yes, well, whose brilliant idea was that "religion" poll?

Aside from the person who promised to give you a fiver if you posted it, I mean.

Welll, but the sword of Damocles is hanging over every spurious nonsense poll, ain't it?

I think ghareth kicks ass.  I have no problems with him in my party.

only gripe I have is that you can't just say "leave me alone" when he comes up and talks to you.  any option you choose makes him launch into his huge explanation.....

*laughs*  I agree, JC, this thread was funny.  I'm still laughing about it even a day after reading it--no kidding.

And it actually convinced me to try this Ghareth out for myself. :)

Stats don't really matter *that* much in this game, as I've found--why do some people believe that a character is to be avoided like the plague if they are a fighter and don't have 18 in STR, DEX, and CON, or they are a mage and don't have 18 in INT???  As long as you have ToB installed, any mage can learn and cast up to lvl 9 spells anyway.
