Is there any way to prevent Ammelyssan from controlling Imoen, or at least bringing her back to life? It really annoyed me when I got Imoen really powerful, only to have my second most powerful wizard snatched away(My pc was tops).
I'd like to have a look at Imoen's epilogue(c'mon, she must have one) and use Imoen to the end. She could have provided the extra bit of magic which would of finished her when my first wizard ran out of magic, and had to resort to the Staff of Rhynn.
So, anyway, is there a way of preventing Imoen's switching sides or not?

There's no way of stopping Imoen from turning into the Slayer, or bringing her back to life if you kill her.  You don't need to kill her, though.  How did your party deal with you when you turned into the Slayer at Spellhold?

If you leave Imoen alone and don't kill her, during the battle she regains control of herself and turns back. It's difficult to ignore a rampaging slayer, I know, but do try.

Or Maze her.  She'll probably be feeling herself again by the time it wears off.

Imoen turning into the slayer is a sequence much like the PC turning into the slayer in Spellhold.  If you use your party members to kill the PC in slayer form then, its game over for you.  If you use the party members to kill Imoen in slayer form its game over for her.  Makes sense.
