Ease of Use changes

What the...?!  I added the IWD2 Ease of Use mod and every item in every party changed to something else.  I was not impressed.  My original party is just a few scenes away from finishing the game and all of a sudden, everyone-even the mages and the thief-have nothing but heavy armor to protect them.  Also, my paladin has lost the Holy Avenger that he fought so hard to obtain back in Kuldahar.  If I uninstall the mods, will things go back to the way they were, or will I just lose everything I now have?
