Umm, I'm having something of a problem with Valen. You see, everytime I go outdoors during daylight she gets "Blighted by the Sun" and dies. I thought it might be due to her level but even after going to level 20+ it still happens. anyway around this?

This probably has something to do with the fact she is a Vampire!

But isn't she only supposed to be significantly weakened, not killed?

Check that you don't have any stat decreasing equipment, if any stat is gows below zero when she gets in the sun she dies.

Also, wasent her vest supposed to protect her against daylight?

Her strenght drops to 8 and her dexterity drops to 1, so if you have anything that decreases her dexterity, she will die instantly.
