Valen bugs?

Valen's claws are weapons that can be used by a thief with "use any item".
You can also "trick" Valen into making too many claws. They don't go away
when she dies. I don't care. Don't do that if you're role-playing. The old
method where her claws were Valen-only led to too many bugs.

Valen can be "killed" by intelligence drain (and some other methods) and
she won't "die the final death". Game engine bug.

If Valen is imprisoned, she will die the final death. Sorry, it's a game
engine bug -- they count imprisonment as death.

When Valen kills a troll, sometimes it comes right back, yada yada. Game
engine bug. Same thing happens if you (the PC) use a level-draining attack.

Are these bugs in the latest version of the Valen mod?

Seeing as how there haven't been any new official BG2 engine patches, all but the first are still unfixable, well baring some major insight in Scripting Trickery.

The first is pretty much a concession/fix for the bugs involved with Valen's self upgrading weapons (And forced equiped).  When this bug didn't exist, she would instead drop her claws and never be able to use them again (frustrating), among other bugs.

Short/Add, simple answer, yes, all those bugs are still present.

Yes, those are really really minor bugs (well except for the cheese usage of claws, but you can control yourself :).

Troll bug just gives double xp from Trolls effectively, not a big deal.

Imprison is frustrating, but also fairly easy to prepare.

Int Drain isn't a big deal, it rarely happens and is just a minor consistancy issue (since you would have most likly just reloaded if she died the Final Death, it's a minor point).
