Installation error messages.
« on: September 04, 2003, 06:45:52 AM »
I installed V33 a few days ago, and it is running fine so far. There were, however, some error messages I could only half-read as the installation was going on (something along the lines of more spells expected in the spellbook?.

Since the installation screen moves quickly then disappears, is there any way to slow it down/stop it and scroll back up to read the errors?

As I said, there have been no ingame errors and having not actually sat and watched the installation process on previous versions, I don't know if such messages are commonplace.

Press pause/break on your keyboard, then press any key to continue.

Cunning.

I'll do that on the next version's install and see what messages come up, and if any are of consequence.

Those error messages don't actually matter unless the whole thing fails.

You can find a copy of them in the iwg2/errors folder, separated by type.

Or you could do

iwg2.exe > result

And read the text file 'resul't.
