--automate Question
« on: June 03, 2003, 06:22:08 PM »
I am new to WeiDU and just trying things out from the tutorials in the ReadME.  However, the --automate command didn't seem to work as described. I extracted all the item files to a folder called 'patch' and a file called 'patch.tp2' in my BG1 directory and then tried this:

weidu --automate patch --textapp patch.tp2

In the tp2 file I got a list of COPY commands but not the SAY commands that the ReadMe says I should get. Is this right? I wondered if this was because they were original items but again there is no proviso in the ReadMe for this.

I'd like to write a patch correcting/updating the descriptions of the original items and would rather not do it the long way. Can you help?

Cheers.

It works if used in conjunction with --automate-min.
