I killed Balthazar, journal says no.

I killed Balthazar in his temple but when I try to go to the end of the game, it's shows that he's still alive!  I've gone back to check and there's no one around the temple including other monks.  I don't have a saved game from before his death, HELP!

This is a common bug, it happened to me one time (bad news: I had to re-play at least 5 hours of gameplay, because I had no other saves :huh: )
