Is a ToB portion of this mod likely to come out, or is this all there's going to be?

Come out - yes, soon - likely not so likely. But keep posting these topics, and hopefully jcompton will get to Lady de'Arnise sooner rather than later. :)

I know some french players would enjoy to play Nalia:ToB too, and one of our translator is waiting for this update to translate the whole mod. :)

Jokes aside, the SOA part of the romance was really great and its sad enough that Ninde and Amber wont get TOB content.

I kept wanting to say something about De'Arnise Romance TOB being a "vital mod" for BG2EE over on the BGEE forums, but it never seemed quite appropriate.

Excellent news! Perhaps there is hope for me finishing ToB yet (my playthrough has been on hold for months now as I figured playing ToB without my relationship with Nalia would feel like playing without my right hand). I eagerly await Nalia's return. ;D

Well hey boy howdy. I haven't posted here in years, but let it be known: I'm still waiting for this mod, and will probably wait until the end of time. It's gonna be one major pain in the ass to try and get a copy of BGII to play it, though.

No exciting updates. Between the fact that this is such a deeply personal project, and the fact that I keep doing theatrical projects which cut into my mod-creativity output I have not made any major strides, but I do see what I need to do.

Your mods are always a definitive work, so I guess you will always have your fan club and people will wait.
But the sooner... the better ! ;)

Just adding to the voices that wanted to thank you for the SoA romance and hope that, someday, there's a ToB resolution. =)
It says something that every time I feel like playing the BG series, I drop by PPG. Mostly that I have a serious problem. But also that your SoA work was great and filled a niche that I was glad to see filled.

I'm a terrible person, etc. etc. etc. I am living in a world of crushing deadlines at the moment, but one of those is answering questions from a nice journalist about IE modding. I will try to use it for inspiration.

Just wanted to stop in and say that this was literally my favourite mod. Excellent writing.
I make sure to stop in from time to time to make sure I catch ToB content whenever it comes out.

Yeah! Everytime I think about playing BG2 I wonder if ToB content has come out for this mod. De'Arnise Romance really is the best written mod. I'd love to see conclusion for the end chapters of the game.

I'll go ahead and start the new year by saying that I still love the SoA romance and would love a ToB component (especially given Kulyok's new mod). And I say that as someone who was in high school when BG2 was released and am now gainfully employed for most of a decade, married, and with a child- BG2 is still an amazing game, and the De'Arnise romance an amazing component of it.

I just wanna say, that I just ended SoA partion of game and I must really, really thank for this amazing mod.
Its so much different and mature than most of other mods, that it really feel absolutely unique.
I am only hoping, that some day (not far in future) will be ToB part of this mod released and we will get a chance to experience conclusion to this amazing story.

Just wanted to add my voice to those asking for a TOB conclusion to this mod. It's excellent work and I'd love to see it finished.

Hope springs eternal. Would love to play but for those who always play through TOB its somewhat awkward.
I suspect a handful of dialogues, the existing flirts, and an epilogue would probably be minimally sufficient for most, but I guess the issue is JC is all or nothing. But then, thats why I want it to be completed so.

Indeed, in effect you now get dumped via sudden total memory loss. While formally getting dumped is hardly the desired romantic ending it is still preferable to the discontinuity.

Hello,
I've been playing through this mod and have been greatly enjoying it so far. I wanted to ask if the lack of ToB content makes for a jarring experience or if with the games in-built content still gives a satisfactory on going relationship with Nalia. My play through of ToB with this romance would be my first serious play through of ToB if the lack of support would leave it feeling a little unsatisfactory.
Thank you for making the mod it's made for a really enjoyable play through either way :)

Sadly it probably is.. done.
I'm not sure exactly how but I encourage the author to consider putting the mod up for adoption so someone else could finish it.
I know there is a way to do this because it has been done with other mods and I thank the author for taking it this far.
I'm hoping at least it still works with BG2:EE.

adoption is probably the best options. fade and ninde would have never been finished with out it.

I hope this gets finished or at least adopted... but after Delainy NPC was scrapped I given up hope on seeing any new NPC mod for original BG2. The new NPC on Beamdog remasters are just too shallow.

Hi there. I realize that it's been a long time since anyone has posted anything for this, and that it's unlikely that anything will happen at this point. However, I've seen a lot of new mods come out, and older mods being updated to some extent, including this one. So I figured it was worth asking if anyone knew if this will be completed by the original creators, or if someone is willing to adopt it. I really want to see a ToB conclusion for Nalia.

The mod is not open for adoption, and seeing how the original author (i.e. jcompton) is nonactive to the point where this forum is dying, I don't see there will be ToB content.

such a pity it's another mod that went down with ToB portion to the game... and it wouldn't had to be lotsa content to it! after long break with BG I was hoping some mods to be finally made and here I came to nothing :(

jcompton, please do the ToB part of the mod, don't leave Nalia with an unfinished romance, please! Maybe you can at least transfer your work to someone and give consent to another modder to create the second part, if you yourself do not definitely plan to take on it?

yes I agree if we will be asking for tob part over and over, someone will finally go for it! it's worth waiting years for it lol
