Post by: davfra on January 23, 2008, 12:51:57 PM: I just finished SOA with the Nalia romance. Everything went perfectly and I was very impressed. The only tiny fault I could find was that the love talks were too far apart. I was at the Palace in Sudenesalar, about to get the nuts off the tree when Nalia said we had to go to the Keep for you know what!
I didn`t do Watchers Keep because there doesn`t seem a lot of point if you`re not doing TOB.
I got rid of the Nalia portrait that comes with SOA and replaced it with Buffy, The Vampire Slayer. Much nicer to look at!
Well done for the mod and it will be great when the TOB part is done.

Thanks for the feedback. The image of <CHARNAME> reaching up to shake the tree only to have Nalia say, "Wait! We have to go to the Keep RIGHT NOW!" is pretty funny.

* - Personally, I'm very happy with how it unfolds, despite some early concerns that I would have difficulty bridging the "hey um excuse me <CHARNAME> but I think you might be kinda special um never mind" portions with the "now that we're boinking, is there anything else we can talk about?" section.

I might try that, but I think the romance is slow because of waiting for Toenails appearances.
I may be wrong, but if I`m not, would this accelerator work?
I`m just starting again with a Ranger/Cleric and Nalia on hard setting, so I might try that mod.

After that, things are pretty straightforward, except for one lovetalk, where you have to _not rest_ for at least ten minutes. Isaea kidnaps Nalia after a certain lovetalk, it's all scripted in - again, it depends on her timer.

And, yes, you _have_ to go to the Keep again(not to talk to Lord Roenal; these are independant events, but just because you have to see Burwood) to start Nalia's quest, otherwise the romance stalls - but it's all in the readme.

I left the elves hanging by a thread while I went back to the Keep for the almighty nookie. ( So Elhan, you held on after all! Hope it wasn't too difficult.)
