Title: Reaver - how powerful?
Post by: zookeeper on May 11, 2007, 10:13:37 AM
I'm contemplating starting a solo game with the Reaver kit (and Solo with Party AI), but am concerned it will be too easy.  My last game, a couple years ago, was with a solo F/M/T, and I thought it was an appropriate challenge.  This time I have most of the mega mods installed, including Big Picture, so I expect gameplay will be somewhat more difficult.  I do like a challenge, though, and don't want to play the Reaver if it means just breezing through things.

I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts...

Well having played an FMT myself, think about it this way.

An FMT advancing at 3 times the speed.. with access to almost all the HLAs for its 3 component classes.

Thanks Zyraen.  I guess what I want to know is whether every battle is a piece of cake, or whether there's still some challenge involved.

Up to how you take it. To me there's still challenge involved, but up until you get certain gear.

Between Celestial Fury, Crom Faeyr and Carsomyr, I generally find there is no more challenge.
Personally, I tend to stop my game when I have gathered Celestial Fury, Shield of Harmony, Flail of Ages, Shadow Dragon Armor and Staff of Magi. At this point in time, usually my character is strong enough to breeze through most of SoA.
