I now have
me L3F/2M
Kahlid L3
Jahira L2F/3D
Dynahair L2
Minsc L2
Imonen L4
I wanted to add Indira, (which was the reason for installing Tutu)
which one should I kick out.
In BG2 SOA Dynahair is dead, because Minsc lost His witch, does she die in the game,
and I should just wait for her to die.
If I kick out Kahlid, (modded him to Kensai, not so sure I like that mod, but its still early)
(and he's getting annoying, almost as bad as Anoman) Jahierea will leave also, I'm thinking I want her to stay
as she's the only one that can heal.
Man it sucks being level 1 and 2, only takes 1 hit to kill you.
I added the mod to make Minsc a beast master, can I go into SK and change it back to true class ranger?
-
Let go of the fighter/mage and get a single class mage, Xan for example, instead. :P
-
jester, I hope you're joking! The FM is his main character and he's already got a single-class mage...
As for getting rid of Khalid, a trick I used a long time ago (don't know if it still works) was to make Khalid go into a house alone that I was never going to go into again and then kick him out. Since he can't see you or Jaheira, she won't leave the party. Same goes for any NPC pair that come as a package deal.
Of course, if you don't mind being an evil, cold-hearted SOB, you could just let him get chunked in the next fight...
-
I was going to research (once I get to it) a patch that will make Khalid/Jaheira to recognise when PC is being an evil SoB and sends one of them unarmored and unarmed into battle or Ctrl+Y them... I thought it's gonna be one hell of a an Easter egg :pirate
-
I thought about that, does Minsc go off the deep end,(well more then he already is, that is)
or leave if Dynahair gets killed,or chunked?
I know Jaheria bellyaches a lot if Kahlid gets killed but she won't leave either will she?
Not that it matters much, there are a lot of others to be picked up.
Last time I played I used multi and made most of my own party.
-
Ashara, I dare you! I always erm loose Khalid in the mines when he is battling all these nasties with nothing but a loincloth and a determined grin on his face. :D
@Loriel: Me joking? Never!
-
Well Kahlid got killed again, and somehow I lost the body on the way back :o
Picked up Indiira, first Kobold ran into, killed her with a single arrow, :'(
So off to the temple by Bergost, they're the cheapest ones so far for raise dead.

Now, that would be great! Not to mention quite the shocker... ;D
Definitely guilty of this in the past, but this time around I think I'll be going to take on a whole new crew.

You got Indira killed? You are so BANED from downloading any more of my mods. ;D
Oh, and raise dead is the same price at all temples. It's based on the level of the character you want raised.
-
I was thinking that may be so but haven''t checked it out, the friendly arm inn temple wanted iiirc 800, to raise Kahlid last time, (before I lost his body that is), and the other one wanted 200 probably for kahlid again. But he was a higher level with the second one.
-
I just have to add, a little late, that one method for getting rid of Khalid is killing Jaheira, kicking Khalid out of the party, then resurrecting Jaheira at a temple. Always worked for me, and she doesn't complain =).
-
....eh, or just kill Khalid. Jahiera doesn't complain, shes problably happy to get rid of the whiner...whimp! 8) ;)
-
Yeah but then if you want Khalid back for some crazy reason you can't get him back.
-
well, i never did, 'cause my party always looked like this:
Me Cleric
Minsc
Coran
Kivan
Dynaheir
Yeslic/Xan/Quayle/Ajantis
Hmm, never seem to find a suitable NPC for the last slot....but I beat the game trice with this party... ;D

While you're at it, why not come up with a mod that has Khalid called away on some urgent business that only he can take care of, which allows Jaheira to stay in the party without him?
-
Odd, I always "accidentally" got Dynaheir killed because she got on my nerves. I can stand Khalid because he can fight. I just used to give Dynaheir a script that made her attack anything, then "accidentally" forgot to provide her with a weapon. Minsc says something about her being revenged but he never does anything about it.
I used to play a mage so having her around was unnecessary and I used to pick up Branwen and keep her.
This time, however, because I'm playing Tutu, I'll drop both Minsc and Dynaheir and pick up Finch and Indira. Finch takes care of the cleric problem and Indira takes care of the mage problem (I'm playing a dual classed fighter/thief, admittedly cheating this time with Shadow Keeper).
By the way, totally off topic, when Sarevok first killed Gorion, I scrolled back to see how much damage he'd taken without getting killed (came to 100 or so) so I knew how many hit points I'd need by the time I met him.

This probably doesn't have any effect on anything, since cut-scene creatures are usually modified to survive the cut-scene until specifically told not to do so.

Not sure why Dyanheir got on nerves, I made her a sorcerer, gave her the ring of wizardry, (double 1st level spells) got to memorize 10 MM out of her, that was nice.

next time I was going to try Finch or Indira again also, but Ghrey said I can't use any more of his mods :) oh wait Finch isn't his, it's Bons' , so maybe I can use that one.

Because I believe that she would go with him. Same true for a vice versa case. I agree with BioWARE descision on inspearable NPCs. I agree with BioWARE descision on incompatible NPCs.

...Ghrey said I can't use any more of his mods :)
Heh, I only vaguely remember what that was about. I assume I was joking, right?

Yea I'm sure you were, it was after getting Indira, then meeting a Kobold on the way out and the first shot from it killed Indira. Guess thats what i get for picking her up at 1st level.
And I was too.
-
Oh! Right right right, yeah, I remember. Heh.
-
@Ghrey
It's about halfway up this page. I remember thinking "I know modders get really attached to their work, but this guy is really passionate. Reminder to self: put Indira in the back whenever in combat so I don't get :-ban"
-
Heh, okay, now THAT's funny. I think I need to start taking more vitamin... B? Yeesh.
-
'scuse my nu-b-ness, but what is banzored? Banned? Where's it come from?
-
Some other BG modding sites, past and present, have made it part of their standard operating procedure to ban people for no apparent reason. To mock these giants of interpersonal relations, we refer to the practice as "banzored", BANEING (as in, "YOUR BANED, GAY LORD!!!!!111") and so forth. Complete with whimsical smiley.
-
Ah yes, the joy of running a forum. "You're banned, and you and you and you! Hey, how come nobody's in my forum???"
Power often goes to people's heads.
