And when you used BG2 before it worked properly via the launcher, I take it?  Doesn't sound like anything involving the game is messed, if it still works, just that the registry has had some weirdness happen.  I don't think Tutu does anything to that, though, so I have no idea what might've caused it.

I never tried it with BG2ToB alone, since the install was solely for Tutu.

PROBLEM SOLVED.  Let's all blame Windows and/or BioWare, and call this case closed.

I've had the same thing happen to an install of BG2 without any mods added.

Same happens with me - I just have my desktop shortcut point to BGMAIN.EXE.

That was simply a clarification of the first post.  When I load BG2 using the generated shortcut, the launch screen comes up with the Installl, not play, option.  I have to launch via BGMain.

So, now that I know you've gotten it running, what was the problem?

I installed BG1, then ToTSC then patched, the BD'd it.  Then I installed SoA, then ToB, then patched then BD'd it.  Then I installed a BG1 quest.  Then I extracted and installed Tutu into my BG2 folder.  Then I installed some Tutu mods and a few BAM changes for items and paper dolls and the new startup screens.  It is at this point I tried loading BG2.

This is the only install of BG2 I have.

(heh-heh-heh) Sounds like yer learning on the Tutu curve...

You didn't do multiple/copied installs, did you?  Far as I know, that would be the only reason you'd need to run bgmain.exe instead of baldur.exe  (like I do :))

Installed Tatu then tried to play via the Bioware created BG2 - Throne of Bhaal shortcut.  Got the option to install it.  Now, I know I can play via the BGMain.exe file, but I was wondering if I missed something in the readme, or whether this is unexpected behaviour?
