This is actually a funny thing: in the original BG, the party actually IS cured by Marek the moment they talk to him. Like, by a dialogue action.

This is weirdly enough not conveyed

Hello!

The final entry for the Baldur's Gate quest involving Marek and his poison is the following:

"Find an antidote for the poison

Albeit in blackmailing fashion, Marek has cured me of his poison. Their threat still remains against my involvement in matters of the Iron Throne. I will be ready for them next time, and I will watch my drink too
."

This triggers (in the unmodded game, I made some improvements to the whole quest in my own Tweaks) as soon as the party talks to Marek at the Inn just before Marek turns hostile and a fight starts.

My question is: do you understand what the first part of the entry really means?

"Albeit in blackmailing fashion, Marek has cured me of his poison."

It doesn't seem Marek has cured the party of his poison in any kind of way.

Thanks.
